Sick to my stomach

This is absolutely sickening - that Bush would turn what happened on September 11th and the personal tragedies into a campaign issue in his favor? This man is beyond arrogant. He has no shame.

Meanwhile, Bush was sitting in Florida, cowering with a bunch of 2nd-graders, reading "My Pet Goat" while he tried to figure out that the country was under attack. Why don't you use that in your ad, Mr. Bush?

The New York Times > Washington > Campaign 2004 > Political Memo: Bush's Mocking Drowns Out Kerry's Explanation of Iraq Vote: "Mr. Bush still has an edge, polls show, in the handling of terrorism. On Wednesday his campaign released a new television ad in which the president discusses the need for pre-emptive action then says 'I can't imagine the great agony of a mom or a dad having to make the decision about which child to pick up first on September the 11th.''
